As nurturers, many women still put the lives of those they love ahead of their own. For many of you life becomes like a rollercoaster trip of someone else’s making and apparently beyond your control. And for some of you that becomes increasingly difficult to endure – indeed you may start to ask yourself questions that you cannot answer on your own and would find difficult to express to those you love.
Perhaps:-
- You envisioned that you would do well in your career and got the qualifications for it but have not fulfilled your hopes and expectations. Rather you were thrown off course by love, by duty or by conscience
- By this age you saw yourself married or co-habiting, secure and possibly with children. Instead you are still not achieving your potential in a job, your feeling alone, searching for your dream partner, and perhaps feeling unfulfilled and resentful.
- You thought there would be nothing better than being a stay at home wife and enjoy watching your children grow. Now you are someone’s wife, someone’s Mum and wondering who you are and what you want…
- You were close to your husband once but he is in a demanding job, you only talk about your children and they now have their own lives.
- Or you and your partner seem to be drifting apart as life’s commitments have come between you.
